External Supervisor
The External Supervisor
He is a faculty member who was nominated by the external university to be the student’s main supervisor.
External supervisor’s rights:
The university will cover travel costs starting from round-trip tickets from the External university city to KSU, considering that the visit visa, accommodation and transportation are also covered after the approval of the Vice Rector of Higher Studies and Scientific Research.
External Supervisor’s obligations:

The academic supervision of the student during the study period.

Supervising the preparation of the course of study and the appropriate visits plan to obtain the degree in a period that doesn’t go beyond three months beginning from her study commencement date in coordination with the internal supervisor and the student.

Supervising the preparation of the research plan.

The effective cooperation with the internal supervisor to support the student in the aim of obtaining the degree during the regular study period.

Attending meetings of the student and the internal supervisor with the program’s administration if necessary.

Preparing and submitting a detailed bi-annual report about the student and providing the report to the program administration.

The accreditation of the bi-annual report which is prepared by the student about his study.

The approval of the student’s visit report to the external university.

Notifying the program’s administration in case of negligence of the student or irregularity during the study period.

The external supervisor is committed to visit KSU once during the study period for five days in the aim of meeting with the student and the internal supervisor to discuss the results of the study process. Furthermore, he is supposed to present a lecture or workshop during the visit. If the external supervisor is unable to attend, he should nominate a supervisor on his behalf.

Providing a report about each visit to KSU to the program’s administration.
